IN THE BEGINNING

I studied Electrical Engineering at both Sydney and Melbourne Universities. I studied Economics at the University of New England. I also studied Mathematics and French Literature at La Trobe University. I undertook these studies for the purpose of augmenting my knowledge and not for vocational purposes. Education loses its meaning if all you want is to get a job or have letters added after your name.

MY FIRST BUSINESS VENTURE

I started my first business at the age of 25 with $200 that I borrowed from Bankcard. It all started when my Russian watch when berserk . Instead of the time going forward, it started to go backward. I didn't have money to buy a new watch. I ordered a sample from a company in Hong Kong for $25.00. This was back in the mid 70's when digital watches were new on the market. I was excited to own my new digital watch. I thought that possibly other people may like to own a digital watch. So this is when it all started. I ordered 12 more watches for $200. I sold them all for $85 each. After selling them, I ordered 50 more watches and I sold them for $85 each. After selling them, I ordered 200 watches, and so on. I sold total 6,000 watches.

As my business grew, I diversified in various products such as Alarm Systems, Car Accessories, Hi Fi equipment, Leisurewear, etc... I believed in the philosophy "1 percent inspiration and 99% perspiration" . I worked hard to make my business a success. However, success is only a journey and not a destination. I started investing in Real Estate, the Stock Market, and I established businesses in other parts of the world. I even established my own offshore Banking Corporation.

FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE

I wanted to show others how to do the same. In 1982 I self published my first book "Financial Independence ". It was met with a lot of success and soon became a best seller. I received hundreds of unsolicited letters from readers describing how the information in Financial Independence had changed their lives. BLIND JUSTICE

In the late 1980's , I was diagnosed with a genetic blinding condition. My business was running smoothly until the mid 1990's when I started losing my sight gradually. For obvious reasons, I was devastated. As my eyesight deteriorated so did my business. It came to a standstill for the next few years. This shows you how vulnerable we are. In a remarkable short time, you can lose everything you worked for. Unfortunately, some nefarious organization took advantage of my condition to launch a massive legal battle against me. They were armed with top lawyers who earned their millions fighting me with my own money. I was depleted of all my assets. I was not allowed to hire my own lawyer as they took control of all my funds.

I represented myself in court to fight them. I even studied court procedures by subscribing to legal procedures from legal bookshops and services. My opponents contacted the legal bookshop and ordered them not to supply me with legal books. Obviously, they were threatened my my knowledge. The matter lasted several years in court. By that time, my opponents managed to fleece me from every penny I had worked for. Some of my lawyers were working behind my back to provide my opponents with information designed to make me lose my case.

I finally took the matter to the High Court of Australia. The High Court rarely hears matters brought by private individuals and rarely overturn decisions made by the lower Courts. I prepared the court papers all by myself without the help of lawyers. To my astonishment, the High Court decided to hear my case and allowed my appeal by overturning the decisions made by the lower courts. Facts that are stranger than fiction. Yet, they were happening right here in Australia.

I decided not to proceed with the matter any further. It could have taken me another ten years to pursue the matter in court. However, i believe money is a good servant and a bad master. It is how you use your money wisely that matters. Accumulating money just for the sake of it is sick. I accepted that I lost all my hard work. I donated what meager assets I had left to charity.

I am now left with less than 2% vision. It means that I can't read printed matter, I can't recognize people. Crossing the road is a challenge. With adapted technology, I can use the computer. The talking software on my computer reads aloud any thing that I type or any text on the computer screen. So I am able to list on eBay without the help of sighted people. However, I need help with the pictures.

I am greatly inspired by Helen Keller who lost both her sight and hearing when she was a few months old. Yet by the age of 10 she could read and write in English, French, German ,Latin and Greek. . She graduated from University and wrote her best seller "The Story of my Life".

More than 70% of blind and vision impaired people are unemployed. This is more than 10 times the national average. Some of the proceeds of my eBay sales go towards helping blind people obtain employment. The donation is deducted by eBay and sent directly to the charities concerned under the eBay Giving Works program. Your bid or buy it now price is not affected. The donation is deducted from my sale price and sent to the charity. By buying some of my items, you are not only getting a bargain but also you are helping blind people become independent.

EBAY

In the late 1990's I discovered eBay. I decided to sell some of my unwanted items on eBay especially after losing my eyesight - I couldn't use them . I told my friends and family members about eBay and how there are at least 5 million items for sale at any one time on eBay. I was told that I will never be able to sell anything online, especially if there are millions of other products for sale on the site. Most people never heard of eBay then, But I proved them wrong, I sold everything i needed to sell and at a good price. Other auction sites have come and gone, yet eBay is still here stronger than ever Meg Whitman, the founder of eBay , started her business from humble beginnings on the principle that most people are honest. This is why she succeeded in making eBay the world's number one auction site.

COCO THE DOG

In 1998 I travelled to the United States to look after my sick sister who was living there. It suited me nicely, because it meant that I can live with her rent free while myself and my wife looked after her. My sister died in 2000. I inherited her dog Coco - a miniature schnauzer- While her daughters inherited her house and belongings, I was left with Coco as my inheritance as no one wanted him. He was a very sick and fat dog. He could hardly walk. His belly was so descended that it scraped the ground. He looked more like a pig than a Schnauzer. The vet told us that unless Coco lost weight, he would die. I soon put him and a strict exercise regime and diet. I baked healthy food for him and he soon regained his strength. At the age of 18 he was behaving like a young puppy for energy and strength.

I decided to promote the special dog I prepared for Coco in order to help other dogs. I invented the Fair Dinkum DOG Diet and started selling it on eBay. It was met with a lot of success. Check it out.

I lived in the United States 9 years. It was a great experience living in the USA. I published a new edition of my book Financial Independence to promote in America and I sold various items on eBay while in the USA. We returned back to Australia to look after my ageing father in law.

SHIPPING GUIDELINES

I usually ship within 24 hours with the Express Delivery Option after payment is received – Unless otherwise stated-. . Public holidays and weekends excluded. If for any reason there is a delay in shipping your order, you will be advised. After receiving your payment, I will send you shipping confirmation. Your payment has to be cleared before shipping can take place. If you don't receive shipping confirmation within 3 days of making your payment, contact me. Same day shipping does not mean same day delivery, I ship via the Postal service, couriers or freight companies. If you do not receive your item within 2 weeks of my shipping confirmation, contact your local Post Office or the delivery service. In some cases, if no one was in attendance, the delivery contractor will take the parcel back to the post office or the depot. Please contact the Post Office or delivery service first before contacting me. Overseas customers, should wait within 3 weeks before contacting their delivery service. If you contact me about an item you haven’t received, please include your delivery name , address and telephone number.

The estimated delivery date is only an estimate provided by eBay and/or the postal or courier service. The estimated delivery date is often reliable. However, there is guarantee that you will receive your parcel by the estimated date. If you are in a hurry, consider paying extra for priority express delivery. I ship via the Postal Service, Couriers or Freight Services via the most economical method. If you wish to have your item delivered or handled in a special manner, let me know and I will inform you if there is any additional charge. If you live in a remote location with no courier service, let me know.

Delivery of bulky items are left by your front door or by the kerbside outside your building . No inside delivery into your home or premises. You will need to arrange your own labour for delivery inside your home, premises or building.

Oversized items take longer to package and ship. If your shipping address is a P O Box address, please also provide a street address and a telephone number. Oversized items cannot ship to a PO Box address.

If the parcel is sent by courier, a signature is usually required. You can select that the courier leaves the parcel in a secure location if no one was in attendance at the time of delivery without the necessity of signing for it and the parcel shall be deemed to have been delivered. If it is not safe to leave the parcel by Your front door, then you will need to sign for it.

Usually parcels sent by standard delivery do not require a signature. If you elect tofo have the parcel sent by registered or insured delivery, a signature is usually required.

You can select to have the item shipped to you via standard, Express or Insured delivery. Standard delivery is the cheapest method and provides no tracking number. I strife to give you the most economical shipping method to save you money. However, If you believe you may have problems with standard delivery to your address, them you can pay the extra charges and have the item delivered via Insured or Express delivery where you will be given a tracking number. All parcels will be securely packaged. Furthermore, if you need insurance, let me know and I will send you a quote for insurance covering damage or loss of your package. Some items are provided with free shipping. Items with free shipping are shipped via regular delivery. If you require tracking , insurance or express delivery , let me know and I will send you revised invoice.

Please provide a contact telephone number in case the delivery contractor needs to contact you to ensure smooth delivery. No responsibility can be taken if you fail to provide a telephone number. Please note, I assume no responsibility if the item is delayed, lost or damaged n transit.
